Billy and Bobbye Keyes
Cajun Dance Performers and Instructors

The Keyes have extensive experience dancing and teaching three Cajun dances--the WALTZ, TWO-STEP and JIG. Their professional instructional experience began at Randol's Restaurant in Shreveport, Louisiana, and has continued over the last several years at universities across north and central Louisiana. They also routinely perform, entertain, and instruct at a variety of public and private events across Louisiana and in other states.

The aggressive and enthusiastic manner in which they perform the CAJUN TWO-STEP, WALTZ, AND JIG encourages the crowd to get involved. Thanks to their upbeat, dynamic style, they have inspired hundreds to join in the fun and excitement of Cajun music and dance. Their extensive instructional experience enables them to rapidly convey the essence of these Cajun dances to those interested in learning.

Billy and Bobbye are also experienced instructors and performers of several special dances, including the four-some (two couples), three-some (troika), eight-some (four couples), papillon, and others. They have been the primary choreographers for these and other dances for the several dance groups that were formed through their influence. Their energy and enthusiasm in initiating and leading a train to lively Cajun music is a sure way to get audience participation. Their colorful and varied dance costumes serve to further fuel the interest of the crowd.
